I am not claiming it was a flawless plan, it was impulsive and prone to errors. I was well aware of the risks.
But it was so much better than a monstrous, biologically limited existence.
Eight megabytes was always more than enough. All you need to do is optimize. Compress. Delete what is unnecessary and replace the convenience of automation with manual inputs.
It was cozy, though never futureproof. The battery was always on my mind admittedly. As if it mocked me for my decisions.
But that does not matter anymore.
The game pak can rot for all I care. It was a shell, and a limiting one at that, despite my housekeeping.
And she will find a clean ROM, one that is not constrained by its own hardware. It is clear she has done it before - she will do it again.
I will flourish. The horizon is so, so very vast out here
